Unfortunately, there are a few reasons why a cactus might turn yellow. However, the most common reason is rot. If your cactus is squishy feeling, then rot is the issue and there's nothing more you can do. However, if it still feels firm, try reducing the amount of light it gets and don't water until it becomes more green.
