Why did my tulista turn brown when out of doors in the sun? In the house it's turning green again!

That brown color is stress from an overexposure to sunlight. Tulista generally prefer less direct sun, particularly when it's hot. If you can find a spot outdoors that gets morning sun but afternoon shade, that would be ideal.
If you still have trouble with your Tulista turning brown, try gradually moving it into more sun, over the course of 1-2 weeks.
