This is a bloom. It can be removed if you don't like it but it will eventually fall off on its own after the flowers open.
I just got an ech. setosa from you, it has a long stem rising up. Is this going to be a flower or a baby plant? Echeveria setosa
I am not sure if I should cut this off and let it root and will it be a new plant? Or is is just a flower stem?
