All of the above ground parts of this plant are actually leaves. Because of this, trimming the brown portions of the leaves will just stunt them. You can either give it some water and wait to see if the brown portion of the leaves greens again or you can withhold water until the leaves totally die back, and water again. That latter option will allow the plant to grow fresh leaves.
