I live in Dallas and I am concerned about the lack of shade where I intend to plant the Sempervivum.

Sempervivum (Hens & Chicks)
All the descriptions say they thrive in afternoon shade, the will be in front of my house, which faces South and is out of the path of the sun, will they be okay?

Ideally, they should have some afternoon shade. A south facing exposure along with Dallas heat would be a challenge for these plants to grow in.
