Sempervivum heuffelii is a species of the larger group Sempervivum (aka Hens & Chicks). The Sempervivum heuffelii types tend to show nice jewel tones and they divide and clump rather than producing new offsets (aka chicks) on long stolons that spread away from the mother rosette. They're also extra frost hardy, all the way down to -30F. You can learn more about this species of Sempervivum in this article: 10 Reasons We Love Heuffelii
