The pink flower died and I cut it off. We now have several legs growing from the green stem. 2 of them 2 ft long

It's important to note that the pink part of this plant isn't a flower. The green part and the pink part are actually separate cacti that were grafted together. If, or when, the green plant blooms, its flowers won't look like the pink cactus that was on top. The green cactus is likely a species of Hylocereus, known for its production of large, scaled fruits, called dragon fruit.
