It likely does need more water. Plants shipped bare root tend to be thirstier right out of the box.
I just received my spiralis Cereus forbesii 'Spiralis' - Spiral Cactus [bare root] [extra large]
I just received my spiralis & potted in gritty mix only & watered and it looks shriveled. Does it need more water?
