Hello, so i have an Polaskia chichipe f. cristata at home and it looks to be getting a yelloish hue on it?

The cactus is outside and gets a good amount of sunlight. It's growing but I was just wondering if thats normal for it to kind of change colors? I've notice a red hue as well.

If the above ground, yellow portion of the cactus is getting soft, then this is a sign of rot and it may be too late for your plant. However, because your plant is still growing, rot is unlikely to be the cause of this color change.
Polaskia chichipe in the wild has been known to develop yellow and red colors as a result of intense sunlight and drought. This isn't bad! We call this being "happily stressed" as these colors are beautiful and mean that the plant is properly defending itself from harsh light.
