That's fair and we're here to help!
It's important to note which leaves are wrinkled on your split rock. Is it only the outer leaves, or the inner leaves too?
If only the outer leaves are wrinkled, your plant may be growing new leaves. Water is being transferred from the outer leaves, to the inner leaves as they grow. This process can be interrupted by watering at this time so it's best to hold the water until the outer leaves dry completely.
If it's the inner leaves that are wrinkled, your plant has likely rotted. pull the root ball up and have a look. If the roots look black and feel slimy, then the problem is surely rot. You can try repotting into dry gravel or perlite, but it likely won't recover.
