Most Opuntia cacti only bloom once a year. There are some supposed rare exceptions but as a nice rule of thumb, one set of blooms in the late spring is all it'll produce in a year.
I have an Opuntia Rita and it only bloomed early spring. Why not now in August? Opuntia polyacantha var. erinacea pink [unrooted]
Saw video saying blooms several times a year
