Does gymnocalycium capillense "Day Dream" maintain it's pink color (like mihanovicchii f. Variegata) or will lighting cause it to change color (like reverting to green)

Yes, in full, direct sun with infrequent water and very gritty soil, it will maintain its pink pigments.
