You can absolutely plant multiple succulents in one container. As a general rule of thumb, plants that are potted together should have similar care needs. For instance, you wouldn't want to put a shade tolerant plant like a Haworthia in the same pot with a sun loving Echeveria. Either the Echeveria would stretch due to the lack of light or the Haworthia would get sun burn.
