Why is my mariners kalamchoe sending long brittle spikes out from stems….should I cut them off?

All of my Kalancheos are producing dark ,long spikes from stems. Should I be doing something to prevent this or is it normal? Can I cut them off?

Those long brittle spikes are actually aerial roots. Many succulents, but especially Kalanchoe, make those when they aren't getting as much water as they would like. You can cut them off if you want to.
