My lifesaver plant grew straight up-4.5". But if bumped it tries falling over. Why?

To some extent, this is how Lifesaver Plants naturally grow and propagate themselves when stem segments fall off. In which case you can support it with things like dowels and chopsticks and try not to bump it. But if the tall growth looks more stretched and pale, then your plant needs more sunlight. Gradually move it to a sunnier spot to avoid permanent sunburns.
