can i start indoors and move outdoors

I am working on making a rock landscaped area- I was hoping to start the process of growing some plants indoor- then transferring them outside when the landscape project is completed- any tips or best practice to do so- or is this advisable? thanks!

You could keep them indoors in a very sunny south-facing window and then transfer them outdoors later. But the plants will start to fade indoors and then be at risk of permanent damage if they are moved into full sun and heat too quickly. You'd have better luck just keeping hardy succulents outdoors in partial sun until you're ready to transplant them.
