You can, but the beads are prone to roll away and their effectiveness has not been tested on outdoor plants. You'd be better off with a dilute liquid fertilizer for outdoor succulents.

Bonsai jack fertilizer. I have succulents on the ground. The description says it’s formulated for containerized succulents. Can it also be used on the ground?
