Do these plants propagate well from stem cuttings?
Senecio crassissimus - Vertical Leaf Senecio
I have a vertical leaf plant that has lasted quite a while, but after my most recent watering and placing the plant in a sunnier window the lower leaves have brown/black at the ends and die. I do think there is a problem with the soil and want to save this plant since it has thrived for so long. Is it possible to propagate this one or am I better off starting over

Sometimes, plants loose their lower leaves naturally, even when nothing is wrong. Be sure that the plant is experiencing root rot before making any cuts. If the stem is still firm and the roots are a healthy pale color, then simply remove the dead leaves.
If your plant is rotting, cut about 1/4" above the rot line and treat it like you would any cutting. For information on planting cuttings, click the link below!
