Gently remove the soil from the Lithops root system, making sure not to damage the roots. If the heads are two separate plants, they should be easily separable during that process. If they are from the same plant they'll be connected at the root.
If they are part of the same plant and you want to separate them into two plants, simply cut the connected portions of their root with a sterile knife. Make sure both new plants have some roots on them. After cutting, allow the two plants to dry for a week before planting them in gritty soil.
