My cementleaf resembled pebbles last night, today full gorgeous yellow blooms .Closed evening, maybe due to cold.

That's great! Titanopsis calcarea, along with many other succulent varieties, will close their leaves in the evening and open them in the morning. This behavior follows the patterns of bees and pollinating flies which are active in the day, but not at night.
