how to water outside road kill

I have an outside road kill in a desert landscape yard. How do I water this?

The cactus will tell you when it's thirsty. If there are wrinkles on the stem and the stems aren't as firm as they were before, go ahead and water. When you water, be sure to do so deeply. The goal is to make sure all the roots get moist and are allowed to dry between waterings.
