Yes, burying the darkened area is a good idea. This darkened area is covered in cork, which will protect it from the normal stresses of watering.
How deep do I need to plant my boobie cactus. The one I recieved has a good root structure Myrtillocactus geometrizans - Boobie Cactus [bare root]
I has a darkened area about 1/2" up on the bottom. Do I need to bury the darkened area?
