All Sempervivum, including Sempervivum 'Carnival', are non-toxic and safe to have around cats. However, Sempervivum don't love being indoors. Although they can survive indoors, they don't tend to get as colorful as they can get outside. Also, they're a little more sensitive to rot when grown inside.
