It depends. In general, we've seen that a mix that's 1/4 to 1/2 traditional succulent soil and 3/4 to 1/2 Bonsai Jack Gritty Mix works well for Echeveria. But there are some growers who find 100% Bonsai Jack works best for their Echeveria for reasons like low indoor airflow, high humidity, or a tendency to water frequently. Whichever ratio you use, be sure to water deeply but only when the soil is completely dry and the leaves start to feel less firm.
