Although Indian Corn Cob would appreciate the low humidity and bright sun you get in El Paso, it would have to be protected during the coldest parts of the winter. This protection could be as simple as covering the plant with a sheet before frosts. You could also plant it close to your house so the residual heat that escapes through your insulation will protect it. Alternatively, plant it in a container that can be brought indoors before any hard frosts.
