You can, but it only needs to be repotted once it shows signs of being root bound. These signs are very similar to being underwatered and include wrinkling, yellowing, and falling of the leaves. If your watering frequency hasn't changed, and your plant starts showing these symptoms, then it's likely time for a repot.
