This sounds like a case of underwatering. Crassula do the bulk of their growing in the winter so this is when they'll need the most water. Your soil sounds excellent but over a month between waterings is too long to wait, especially in the winter.
Although it could be a case of sunburn as well. Crassula can be sensitive to that, but underwatering is more likely.
If a more frequent watering schedule doesn't help, feel free to send a few photos of your plant to us via email (info@mountaincrestgardens.com) and we'll diagnose the issue for you. Be sure to include the following information in your email:
Growing conditions (full sun, part sun, filtered sun, indoors, outdoors, etc.)
Soil used for planting
Watering schedule
Does the container have a hole for drainage?
