Is Mammillaria plumosa safe to handle with bare hands?

Are the feathery spines of Mammillaria plumosa safe to handle without gloves, or will they get lodged in the skin like prickly pear hairs? Not planning to cuddle this cactus but would like to know how many precautions to take with it!

The little hairs are not sharp like the hairs of Opuntia are. They won't get lodged in your skin. As such, they're safe to handle!
