Re-potting into another container that is close to 4.5" in diameter is fine. Succulents are okay to be a little root bound and too large a pot will stay wet for too long, increasing the chance of rot.
I purchased a "Moonsilver" succulent in a 4 1/2" pot, what size pot should I repot it in? Pachyphytum 'Moon Silver'
