I uderstand to only water when when completly dry but when you put in another should the plant put he soil be wet
or the container you put it in or does it matter..

For succulents, it is preferable to transplant into dry soil. Transplanting inevitably creates micro tears in the roots, so it's important for these to dry and callus for several days to prevent rot. 3-5 days after transplanting (or when your plant shows signs of thirst) you can resume your normal watering.
