Lots of succulents can work together well with Drosanthemum hispidum, but there are a few groups to be avoided.
Although it's certainly not a hard rule, it would be good not to plant hardy plants with D. hispidum. The reason being that it can't survive the cold like the hardy plants can and the hardy plants tend to prefer growing outside, even during the winter. Hardy plants simply don't do as well inside.
Planting particularly drought tolerant species with this plant should be avoided. This one prefers more water than they do. These plants include, Lithops, most species of cacti and Pleiospilos nelii. You'll constantly have a situation where D. hispidum will be underwatered and these other plants will be happy or D. hispidum will be happy and these plants will be rotting.

Compare the items on this list, to the same list for D. hispidum. If the items are similar, chances are that plant will work well with D. hispidum.
