Soft succulents that we have listed as outdoor plants can do very well if grown inside. They typically get the outdoor listing because of mature size rather than anything to do with care.
Hardy plants that get the outdoor tag are a different story. You certainly can grow them inside, but they're generally healthier and more vibrant in their coloration if grown outside.
