How is this different from protulaca? My local nursery always has portulaca - I don’t often have good luck with it.

The main difference between Delosperma 'Garnet' and Portulaca is that the Delosperma is hardy to zone 6 while Portulaca freezes. However, Delosperma also tends to prefer more light than Portulaca.
Delosperma 'Garnet' is tough and will do well both in containers and in the ground.
