We recommend unglazed terracotta, with a drainage hole, to grow any cactus. Unglazed terracotta is breathable, so it helps the soil dry out faster. To accommodate Zion, you'd want a fairly large pot, at least 12.0" in diameter.

Opuntia 'Zion': A gorgeous, cold hardy cactus. This variety grows stacks of flat paddles and blooms each spring/summer with white, tissuey flowers. It is frost tolerant and can survive snowy winters by going partially dormant.
