I am planting my small cactus in a six inch pot, should I put some rocks in the bottom to raise the amount of dirt

I have this small ball like cactus I am getting ready to pot and I think the pot is too deep. Should I put some rocks in the bottom to raise the level of sand dirt I will put in?

That shouldn't be necessary! As long as the soil has enough minerals in it (coarse gravel, perlite, etc.), and the pot has a drainage hole or two, water should drain just fine. It's better to have one well mixed soil than stratified layers of soil and rock.
