First, you'll want a container. The size of which is up to you, but be sure it has drainage holes at its base to let excess water out so it doesn't cause the roots to rot.
Then get a gritty soil. You can use store bought cactus and succulent soil (we sell a great soil called Bonsai Jack) or you can mix your own using potting soil and some kind of gravel or pearlite.
Next comes the fun part, plant selection. Be sure to pick plants that have similar care needs, as these are easier to keep in a small pot together. It'd be a good idea to select plants from our miniature section of our website as these tend to be easier to keep small and manageable. You could also check out our cuttings.
Then it's just a matter of planting your plants in your container with your soil. If you want, you can use a top dressing. This helps prevent root diseases and can add an esthetic flare.
