A few things can cause a cactus to become yellow. Root rot due to overwatering is a classic and most common example but even some viruses can cause yellowing to occur.
If you send a few clear photos of your cactus to us via email (info@mountaincrestgardens.com) we can try to diagnose the issue for you. Be sure to include the following information in your email.
1) Growing conditions (full sun, part sun, filtered sun, indoors, outdoors, etc.) 2) Soil used for planting 3) Watering schedule 4) Does the container have a hole for drainage?
