How much water should be given to the plant, and when to water?

Hello! So, my boyfriend just got me an echeveria plant and I was wondering on how much water should be given to it and if it needs to be watered every month or needing a bit more attention than that for water

The watering needs of this plant can vary throughout the year. The best way to water is to look at both the soil and the plant. If the soil is very dry and the plant shows signs of thirst (slightly wrinkly leaves flexible) then drench the soil with water. Really drench it! You want the water to flow out of the drainage holes freely. Afterwards, don't water again until the soil dries and the plant shows signs of thirst again.
