I don't believe your Euphorbia is being burned by the sun. Sunburn typically presents itself as a lightening of the colors rather than a darkening of them (it can darken, but usually it's splotchy and mocha brown if it does). If the whole plant turned pale all of a sudden then I'd be more worried. Sunburn will also look almost porous on the surface of the plant. It's a hard symptom to describe so I'll post a link below this that will take you to our FAQ section about sunburn. It has some great pictures of the symptoms.
A darkening of colors in bright sunlight is actually healthy behavior for many succulents. It's called "sun stress" or "stress coloration" or just "stress". I know stress doesn't sound like a good thing, but in succulents, it is. Plants will bring out their best colors when stressed by the sunlight.
