It won't hurt the animal that ate it as Lithops is not poisonous.
As far as whether or not your Lithops will come back or not, that depends on a couple of things.
1) How does the center of the plant look, between the leaves? If that center is still intact, it could come back.
2) How does the wound look? Is it hardening into a scab or does look discolored? If it really starts looking blackened then it may be rotting instead of growing, but a scab means your Lithops is still fighting for life.
Lithops are very touchy, and this certainly will not help keep it alive, but it's always worth it to try.
