Will my parodia werneri die after its first flowers bloom?

There is a hard white growth coming out with the new spikes that are growing and im wondering if it will die after it blooms its really special to me and i dont want it to die.

Good news, Parodia werneri will not die after it flowers! It will flower frequently in the spring or early summer. There are some succulent plants that die after flowering like Agave, Sempervivum, Aeonioum, andTillandsia, but cacti can flower many times throughout their lives.
