The leaves have started pointing down, instead of pointing up.

The leaves have always pointed up. Now they are pointing down toward the soil. Why is this happening? Thank you!

This is almost always the result of a lack of sunlight. The rosette opens wide with its leaves pointing downward to try to intercept as much light as possible. Fortunately this is just the first stage of etiolation and it is reversible. Move the plant to a sunnier spot before it starts to fade and stretch into a tall, lanky stem.
