It's possible to grow it in an indoor environment, but not convenient. This plant can reach 1.5 feet in diameter, making too bulky to be a nice window sill plant.
Growth rates are a difficult thing to determine because so much of that depends on care. We can say that the plant would take years to reach that mature size and form.
