Silver-blue tones and blue-green tones are similar in that they're both blue. But succulents in the silver-blue category tend to have a silvery sheen given to them by a coating of farina, a natural dusty wax that they produce. Plants in the blue-green category have less of this farina, if they have it at all. Instead, they tend to be more green.
For a photo of these differences, please reference the main photo on the listing. This photo consists of many plants and is divided into four quadrants. The upper left quadrant consists of blue-green plants while the lower left quadrant consists of silver-blue plants.
