This is made from a preserved, dried moss of unknown origin. It won't grow, but it'll retain it's look for a long time and it's not as fragile as traditional kokedamas are.
You could plant a sundew in this. The only issue is that this kokedama has good drainage and sundews tend to like having wet feet. The moss itself will retain some water but be sure that it doesn't dry out.
Soaking the whole ball would work well!
