How large a pot should I put this particular cactus in
Coleocephalocereus aureus
Supposed to be up to 12" tall, but mine is still about the same size as when purchased from MCG

Cacti tend to be very slow growing and yours will take many years to reach 12" tall. If you want to repot it, I wouldn't put it in a pot that's much bigger than the 3.25" pot it came in. Limiting it to a 4" pot maximum, for now, would be a good idea.
