First things first, I want to say that I don't recommend planting succulents into terrariums at all. Some succulents do better than others but none of them do terrifically in a terrarium. There are a few guild lines you should follow if your dead set on it.
1) Make sure it's an open terrarium. Closed terrariums keep too much moisture which can kill the plants
2) Don't leave the terrarium in bright sunlight in order to prevent over heating and sunburn.
3) Be very careful about watering. Put about 1/3 of the soil's volume worth of water in there and do not water again until the soil is completely dry.
That being said, Sempervivum hens and chicks are one of those genera of plants that can't handle terrariums. They die very easily from getting cooked by the sun or over/under watered. I'm going to attach a link to this post that'll take you to a section of our website that deals with terrarium tolerating succulents.
