I live in zone 9A. When does the Turtle vine turn black. I am looking for FULL SUN ground cover
Callisia repens - Turtle Vine [large]
I plane to mix ground cover with Chic and Hens in zone 9A. Plan to add sand and fertilizer to soil.I have a slope approx 80'. Just starting this spring. Thank you for your time in advance.

That's quite the project! Sounds fun!
Anyway, turtle vine never really turns black. I know the website listing has a secondary color labeled as "purple/black" but that's just there to generalize the colors as much as possible so we don't have too many color labels to manage. It actually, unlike many other succulents, stays similar in color all year around; keeping the leaves forest green top and purple underneath. I hope this helps!
